Post Apocalyptic Groove Core!

Mission Statement:

Resist The System is a self funded, not for profit, open source, global recording project created by Jason McX. The project initially launched as a solo endeavor in 2004 in response to the fourth installment of Mad Max being cancelled due to the financial crisis.   

Mad Max became a pivotal part of my life in 1988 at the age of five. My Father would often rent movies from a local video store while my Mom worked second shift. During these adventures I would often persuade my Dad into letting me watch some of the movies he rented, it just so happened Mad Max was one of the movies he decided to rent that very night. We slid the VHS tape into the deck and hit play, from that moment onwards my life was forever changed. 

Not only did I personally connect with Max’s archetype, I also felt a very strong connection to the mighty V8 Interceptor. As time lingered on I began to notice the world  was moving towards a potential apocalyptic outcome,  and Max’s story had opened my mind to this dark reality.   

This fear eventually led to the creation of Resist The System, my personal attempt to be one of those who came to salvage and assist the lost and broken. That was the gift Max gave to me, an awakening of consciousness and the hopefulness tomorrow may bring.   

After many failed attempts and delays, my dream finally came to fruition in 2024. The first two singles "21st Century Slaves and "A Mass Exodus" were successfully released on all major streaming platforms. Currently, the future looks bright and I’m in the process of releasing two new singles in the Spring of 2025.
